*****IMPORTANT THINGS TO KNOW********

Regular parking can be found on the street (generally with a one hour or two hour limit) or in the lots surrounding the Capitol (generally costing around $10 - $12).  Handicapped parking is available on the street around the Capitol or in the Grant St. lot for no charge.  Note that the further away from the Capitol, the longer the street parking limits and the less expensive the lots.

To enter the Capitol, please go to the North entrance on the 1st floor, up the steps on the Colfax street side.  If handicapped or stroller access is needed, please go to the South entrance on the basement level, on the 14th St. side.  You will go through metal detectors and be subject to search, so please be careful in the personal possessions you bring.

Public bathrooms are in the basement of the Capitol building, on the North side.

Please be aware that we will have hundreds of cyberschool supporters in the building that day, so please be courteous to all the Capitol staff.  Use the stairs whenever possible, so as not to clog up the elevators, and always allow legislators to use the elevators first or pass through the corridor, so that they are not late for their legislative duties.

But most of all, have fun!!!!
