Colorado Coalition of Cyberschool Families Video Contest

November 24, 2008

The Colorado Coalition of Cyberschool Families is proud to announce our first ever video contest, sponsored by CollegeInvest, a not-for-profit division of the Colorado Department of Higher Education.

Students in grades K - 12 can enter for a chance to win a $500 CollegeInvest scholarship by telling us why you love your cyberschool and showing us your typical school day.

CONTEST DETAILS

Students can enter the contest by submitting a 5 minute video answering the question:

Why do you love your public online school?

Don't just tell us, show us! Be creative and show us what makes your school special!   Show us interacting with your teacher, doing projects, etc.  This will be your chance to show people who don't understand virtual education what it is, why we love it, and why we are all so passionate about it remaining a quality educational choice.

We will select one winner from three age categories:

  • Students in grades K through 5
  • Students in grades 6 through 8
  • Students in grades 9 through 12

PRIZES

One winner from each age category will win a $500 CollegeInvest scholarship in the form of a 529 college savings plan. Money saved through college savings plans offered by CollegeInvest can be used nationwide at any eligible public or private college, university or vocational school for a variety of qualified higher education expenses such as tuition, fees, certain room and board, and required supplies.
