Day at the Capitol - 2/23/2012

Registration is now closed for Day at the Capitol 2012. You are still invited to join us for the rally at the West Steps of the State Capitol at 12 pm on Thursday, February 23rd.

Families from all public online schools in Colorado are encouraged to attend.

Location: Denver Art Museum - click here for a map

Time: 10 am - 2 pm. Click here to view a detailed schedule.

Important Event Details:

  • Enjoy a fun-filled day starting at 10 a.m. (Please do not arrive before 10 a.m.) All registered participants should check-in at the North Building of the Denver Art Museum.
  • Wear your t-shirt with pride! If you received a t-shirt in 2011, please wear it again this year instead of picking up a duplicate at registration.
  • Dress in warm layers and comfortable shoes. There will be a lot of inside and outside walking, and lunch will be served outside.
  • Allow plenty of time to park. The Denver Art Museum is located at the heart of downtown Denver. We recommend that you try to park in the Civic Center Parking Garage or a metered parking spot. Day at the Capitol will take place in the North Building of the Denver Art Museum. Click here to find a map of area parking and the entrance for the event (marked School Field Trip Entrance).
  • No food or drinks at the Capitol. Lunch will be provided for those that requested it when registering. It will be setup after the rally in Martin Plaza between the Denver Art Museum and the library.
  • Go on a scavenger hunt! Free entrance passes to the Denver Art Museum will be given to all registered participants at check-in. These passes can be used one time at the date/time you choose, even after Feb. 23rd. Families will receive a scavenger hunt activity guide at registration. If you complete the hunt and turn your form in to the registration table, you are eligible to win a Target gift card. *Hint: click here to find helpful clues for the scavenger hunt!
