Conversation 2007 Meeting Thursday, Sept. 13, in Colorado Springs; More Meetings through mid-October

Colorado State Board of Education member Peggy Littleton will host a "Conversation 2007" meeting in Colorado Springs on Thursday, Sept. 13. The event will be held from 6 - 8 p.m. at Colorado Technical University, 4435 North Chestnut St. The meeting is in Room 409 and all are invited.

Conversation 2007 is an opportunity for all Coloradoans to help shape the future of Colorado education-preschool through graduate school-by engaging in a series of guided conversations with other members of their local community and elected representatives.

Through a partnership with members of the Colorado General Assembly and a coalition of public, private and non-profit leaders, a series of frank and open conversations about preschool through graduate education are taking place throughout the summer and fall of 2007.

The results of these conversations will be available on an ongoing basis on a dedicated Web site, and ultimately compiled into a comprehensive report that will be presented to the Governor's P-20 Education Coordinating Council.

Additional meetings will be held in Boulder (Sept. 19), Littleton (Sept. 26), Westminster (Sept. 26), Lakewood (Oct. 3 and Oct. 9), Colorado Springs (Oct. 11), Fort Collins (Oct. 17) and Longmont (Oct. 20).
